Amsterdam & Tiblisi

This painting was created for a special collaboration where BeHaerd invited the Georgian organisation FACTION to Amsterdam to showcase a blend of Amsterdam and Georgian music and art. The event was held in TILLA TEC, Amsterdam.

Inspired by this event, I captured the feeling of two different worlds, Amsterdam and Tbilisi. And at the same time the unity between them.
The people in Georgie are being oppressed by their government, while in Amsterdam we are lucky enough to live in freedom. This contrast forms the meaning of this piece.

It moved me while creating.
